Winter Dressage League (5 of 6) – 16.2.20

Well Storm Dennis, you only managed to keep 2 competitors away and for most of the time we had a bright but cold day. I am sure everyone will be glad to get back to their nice warm homes/stables, but all in all it turned out to be a good day from dressage at Laurel View. We were glad that we had decided to keep all the warm up and riding indoors, making it much pleasanter for everyone, even if it did confuse some of the horses and ponies especially when they spotted the Equi-Tog photographer in a different position than usual. We trust Tom will once again have captured the competitors in a good light and by mid week you should be able to check out the photos at www.equi-tog.com

To judges Ivor Harper and Coreen Abernethy we extend our thanks for coming out on what was forecast to be a frightful February day. Thanks also to scribes Diane Sefton and Christine Smyth for giving so freely of your time to assist. Huge appreciation to our caller up extraordinaire, Norma, for keeping things moving, even when things don’t always go to plan, not forgetting the team behind the scenes who prepare and set up the arenas. 

The final vote of thanks on this February day goes to all the competitors who came from far and wide, with their entourage of helpers and supporters, we really do appreciate you choosing to come to compete at Laurel View.
