Summer Dressage League (1 of 4) – 20.6.21

Sunday 20th June and the start of the Summer Dressage League, seems like only a few weeks ago since the Winter League finished!!!

We have been totally blown away by the entries for this competition. So many that I have a few riders waiting on a reserve list to see if they too can be fitted in. So please check your allocated times against any other plans for Sunday and if there is a clash or problem please do get in touch to let us know. We never mind if competitors need to cancel, we just really appreciate getting as much notice as possible if you can no longer make it for whatever reason. Let’s hope the sun shines on for the Summer Dressage League.

Again this time we are running the tests in the two indoor arenas, with the warm up for all in the outdoor sand, hopefully the weather will be kind and any precipitation stay away. 🙂 

To try and relieve congestion in the car parks, we will hopefully park all cars in the front paddock so please watch out for directional signs. 🙂 Leaving more room for the lorries and trailers to park sensibly in the car parks.

With lockdown lifted (hopefully for the last time), we still have to keep things covid compliant so as with everything now there are some extra points that we are asking everyone involved to please comply with in order to help run the competition safely for everyone.

  • Obviously if you or anyone in your household is experiencing the symptoms or having to self isolate please call and cancel.
  • We ask that everyone please wears a face mask while unmounted.
  • Unfortunately there is no option for spectating under the current restrictions and non riders should be kept to the bare minimum.
  • Remember to keep a social distance of at least 2 metres from anyone not from your household at all times.
  • Ensure good hand sanitisation by availing of the sanitiser and hand washing facilities.
  • Access to the shop will be limited to 2 customers at a time to facilitate payment and shop purchases only.
  • At check in please make sure to leave a contact number for each rider.
  • We will be offering a limited range of hot take away food via the shop window.
  • Results will be posted on the window at the end of each class, but also on here as soon as possible after the competition.
  • Test sheets can be collected from the shop window after the scores have been calculated and saved to the computer.
  • We ask that everyone leaves as soon as practical after riding their test, we don’t like chasing you away, but we all have to do what we can to stop covid.
  • Rosettes and vouchers for League prize winners will be kept safely until you next return to Laurel View if we hadn’t caught up with you on the day.
