Pounds for Points Show Jumping (4 of 12) – 24.10.18
Show jumpers were in fine form at the Wednesday evening jumping at the 4th leg of the Pounds for Points League in the indoor arenas at Laurel View on the 24th October.
Lots of smashing clear rounds, kept the evening moving on swiftly, along with the speedy and efficient arena party. Appreciation to Geraldine Lowry for her judging again this evening, ably assisted by scribe Dawn McKeown.
A good strong 45 cm class got the evening going, followed by the 55cm folk. Numbers were low in the 60cm & 70cm tonight, but the winners earned their rosettes all the same, with lovely performances in the arena. The competition continued at a high level all the way through the 80cm – metre classes, with the Laurel View team encouraged to up things once again to allow for a 1.10m schooling class.
Thanks one and all for coming out to compete, when the sofa would be so tempting, it’s great to host the healthy competitive banter at Laurel View. Keep coming to see how well you can build up your points on the league scoreboard, each Wednesday evening through to the final on 19th December.
