Indoor Derby League (4 of 6) – 18.1.15

The forecasters had issued weather warnings putting off many competitors, leaving only the hardy or handy competitors for the fourth leg of the Indoor Derby League.

Disappointingly there were no competitors to take up the 60cm challenge, but the 70cm got the competition off to a worthy start. Clear rounds from Miriam Wright and Erin Faloona, on The Castletown Lad and Roger meant that the red rosette was decided by the jump off; ultimately it was Erin and Roger who claimed the red rosette.

No need for a jump off between the 85cm competitors as the places were all decided by the performance over the course first time round. Morgan Skillen and Mayo made it to the top after picking up only 4 faults on the way round, Alison Larkham and Lexi picked up 8 faults leaving them in second place.

Katie McDonnell and Silly Sally had no competition over the metre course sadly, but they still put a sterling performance to earn themselves the top spot.

On the 22nd February there is another chance to get along to join in the Derby fun at Laurel View, with warm up and jumping all indoors, getting going at 12.30pm with the 60cm competitors.
