Derby League Final – 4.9.11

Definitely Maybe a Laurel View Derby Winner

The 4^th of September was the date for the final of the Summer Derby League at Laurel View.  Emma McQuilkin and Definitely Maybe were the conclusive 60cm league winners going home with their share of the cash prize fund.  The red rosette for the competition on the day was one by Jan Dewhurst and Podge.

Sylvester and Erin Faloona were a winning competition in the 70cm league with a faultless performance in the jump off, leaving Charlotte Harding and Safety First to settle for second place.

Simon Wylie and What a Wizard worked their magic over the 85cm course to claim a substantial portion of the prize fund.  Although not a league qualifier Justine Harding and Harvest Mice were pleased with their performance over the course to claim second on the day.

Last but by no means least were the competitors tackling the metre course. No clear rounds, but some good jumping all the same, with the lions share of the cash going to Louise Craig and Chrissie who secured first place, with Nuala McNally and Song of Charm still in the money in second place.

This may be the conclusion of the outdoor derby’s at Laurel View this year, but don’t despair, plans are underway for an Indoor Derby League kicking off on 16^th October.  For more information on any of the upcoming activities at Laurel View  just give the office a ring on 028 9083 0649.
