Charity Dressage Show – 11.12.22

The Laurel View Charity Dressage Show in aid of Air Ambulance NI saw a serious deterioration of entries after the wintry weather did not play ball at all. Totally amazing how many still made it to Laurel View to compete. Most of those that were forced to withdraw because of the bad weather and road conditions were disappointed not to be able to attend this festive fundraiser, but to make sure the charity collection does not suffer, we have decided to keep the collection open until the middle of January, so that all wishing to donate have a good opportunity to do so. Thanks to everyone who has made sure that the collection has got off to a great start. 

Lots of extra effort was required due to the weather, more surface prep than usual with the car park getting a rotavating, salt spreading to make manoeuvring around as safe as possible, but all the Laurel View elves got stuck in to make the show happen and even managing to find a corner for festive photo opportunities. 

Huge thanks to everyone for their support, but also to our judges on the day Coreen Abernethy, Celine Gillen and Andrew Ross. 

This competition also counted as part of the Winter Dressage League, with the fourth leg coming up on 15th January 2023. In the meantime grab a festive tipple of your choice and peruse these results, keep an eye out for the festive photos captured at the Charity Show by the Equi-Tog team.
