BHS First Aid Course

Training in First Aid is essential for anyone involved in the horse industry whether they are instructors, grooms, competitors, volunteers, fence judges etc. A recognised, up-to-date First Aid qualification is also a pre-requisite for inclusion on the Register of Instructors. Here is your chance to learn new and very worthwhile skills.  The BHS provide 2 day courses which provide a basic overview of first aid procedures, but with a focus on the injuries that are most likely to be sustained whilst handling and riding horses. This course is appropriate for anyone who is involved in the horse industry, and will provide the basic information on what to do if you are ‘first on the scene’ of an accident. As with all such training, the emphasis will be on providing appropriate first aid help while professional help is sought.

All bookings for the BHS First Aid training should be made through Susan, British Horse Society Development Officer for Ireland, telephone 028 4278 8681/07808 141079 or email S.Irwin@bhs.org.uk
