BHS Equitation Competition
Sunday 10th April is the date for the Northern Ireland heat of the the BHS Equitation Competition. Competitors are welcome from any licensed riding school in the province, for more info or to enter just email laurelview01@btinternet.com
The Equitation Competition is run by the BHS to offer young non-horse owners throughout the UK the opportunity to compete, win prizes and qualify for a grand final. The competition consists of a dressage test, show jumping course and a set of equine related general knowledge questions.
he two age groups are:
- 13 Years and Under
- 17 Years and Under
There will be regional qualifiers held at BHS Approved Centres throughout 2010 and early 2011 across the UK and riding school clients from surrounding licensed riding establishments are welcome to compete. The qualifying competitions are organised by individual centres supported by the BHS Approvals Department. The first and second placed competitors of both age groups from every qualifier will be invited to take part in the final.
The 2011 final will be held at Warwickshire College on Tuesday 31 May. Prizes including training vouchers, rosettes and trophies will be awarded to the winning competitors and instructors. The Worshipful Company of Saddlers kindly donate generous vouchers to the winning establishments.
