Working Hunter League Final 25.3.12

Laurel View Working Hunter Winners

The winter flew by and Sunday 25^th March and the final of Laurel View’s Working Hunter League was here before you knew it.  Competition had been strong throughout the winter with very pleasing numbers putting their steeds through their paces over the varied and interesting courses built by the in house team.

When it to the final it was the performances, style and turnout that made the difference to claim the league prizes.  Picking up red rosettes and the healthiest stash of the winnings in the Ponies were Sophie Winn riding The Ferryman, Lauren Gordon on Spud and Eva McClurg aboard Barney. Claire McKee was the judge responsible for the big grins witnessed on these girls’ faces.

Moving onto the horses, Violet Jackson took over the judge’s pen and it was the following that earned those precious extra points to claim the top spots: – Over the 70cm course Magic ridden by Claire Robinson and Edana Butler riding Randal’s Girl were the winning combos of the league. Moving on up to 80cm the league winners were Erin Faloona teamed with Harlequin Rose and Nicky Anderson riding Ballynolan Renoir. The last league prize 1^st of the day was won by Rangehill Llwynog and Simon Wylie.
