WORKING HUNTER SHOW 20/01/13 CANCELLED

Due to a heavy snowfall in the Laurel View area (which many others seem to have escaped) it has been decided to cancel the show today, as conditions on roads to the venue are very risky. Apologies to those who have set out this morning, we hope that you all get home safely and we hope to see you at our next competition.

XC Go As You Please

Oops I see I have forgotten to add this diary date to the calendar!

Anyhow fingers crossed if the rain manages to stay away we should be able to run this Go As You Please between 12 noon and 4pm tomorrow as planned.

The cost per horse/pony is £15 .

If for any reason we have to cancel we will post a notice on here and on our Facebook page. If you want to check you can give the office a ring on 028 9083 0649, if you get the machine, leave your name and number and we will ring you back.

It is also our Easter Show tomorrow so if all drivers could park with due consideration it will help to make the day run more smoothly.

BHS PTT & Lungeing Course with Patrick Print OBE FBHS

At Laurel View Equestrian Centre,

Cost:- £20 per person or the equivalent in Euros (Lunch is included)

This training course will be of benefit to all those who wish to sit the BHS Preliminary Teaching Test or wish to train candidates to take it.

The syllabus for the PTT exam has recently changed and there has been some confusion – this day will explain all.

Lungeing is a vital part of training and developing horses and is an important part of the BHS PTT, Stage 2 and 3 exams. The section on lungeing is regularly failed within the BHS Exam System. This day will demonstrate correct lungeing techniques.

Easter Monday Go As You Please

Unfortunately Redhall have had to cancel their Indoor Derby on Easter Monday due to a lack of entries.

We have now decided to open up the Cross Country course again for another Go As You Please to take advantage of the excellent weather and the gap in our diary. So if you fancy a bit of Cross Country the course will be open between 11am and 5pm.

8 week Show Jumping League

Running weekly on Wednesday evenings from 13th October to 1st December. Jumping starts at 6pm with the 50cm class. Classes for 50cm to 1 metre. To qualify for league prizes just compete at 3 league competition evenings plus the final with the same horse/rider/class combo.

Indoor Jumping Derby League

The popular derby league is back on Sunday 3rd October for a 3 week league. Courses will be set for 60cm, 70cm, 85cm and 1m. The action kicks off at 12 noon with the 60cm class. To qualify for league prizes competitors must have competed in the same horse/rider/class combo for 1 competition plus the final. The derby will be run on Sundays 3rd and 31st October with the third competition and final on Sunday 7th November. For more info or to let us know you plan to come ring 9083 0649.
